ABC's 5th Annual Amazon Workshop.
A group of 57 people interested in medicinal botanicals traveled to the Peruvian Amazon as part of the 5th annual ethnobotanical Pharmacy from the Rainforest tour co-sponsored by ABC, International Expeditions, and the Texas Pharmacy Foundation. Travelers participated in classes led by James A. Duke, Ph.D., retired botanist from the USDA, Mary Hardy, M.D., Luis Diego Gomez, Director of the Estaci¢n Biol¢gica Las Cruces Tropical Garden in Costa Rica, and Mark Blumenthal, Executive Director of ABC, as well as walks and boat trips to see native flora and fauna.
