In response to the current interest in and need for reliable, scientific information on herbs, additional monographs are being made available through ABC's Herbal Education Catalog. Fitoterapia, a leading international botanical research journal, has recently published monographs on ten herbs, while Verlag für Ganzheitliche Medizin in Germany has published eight on traditional Chinese herbs from 1995-1998. The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia has two new monographs (Hawthorn and Valerian) due out soon, in addition to their monograph on St. John's wort, with plans to publish new items on a regular basis. In addition there are the ESCOP Monographs, offered exclusively in the U.S. by ABC. ABC offers Popular Herbs in the U.S. Market: Therapeutic Monographs, and The Complete Commission E Monographs: Therapeutic Guide to Herbal Medicines co-published with Integrative Medicine Communications.
