Clinical Herbalism: Plant Wisdom from East and West was written by Rachel Lord, RN, and published by Elsevier in 2021. The excerpt includes the title page, table of contents, preface, and a selection from Chapter 10: Energetics Related to Western Herbology.

This textbook, ideal for herbal practitioners, integrates Western herbalism and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) from an energetics context. Topics covered include theory, formulation, client interaction, and wildcrafting, while a compendium of herbs covers usage, indications and contraindications, and herb-drug interactions. Functional medicine principles address the root causes of many conditions, and Lord offers case studies that illustrate specific therapeutic principles. There are also chapters divided by body system (gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, etc.) for easy reference.
