Please enjoy this information on purple corn made available through the generosity of Artemis International's adoption.

Purple corn is a variety of Zea mays, an annual grain plant in the grass family (Poaceae) and is native to Peru. Purple corn was sacred to the Inca people and is used to make a sweet, nonalcoholic beverage called chicha morada. Its anthocyanin content is responsible for many health benefits.
