The Tai Sophia Institute, based in Columbia, Maryland, has reorganized its Master’s program in Botanical Healing to allow students to work part-time or meet other obligations while attending the program.
Starting in the Fall 2002 session, students will attend classes two days per week and one weekend each month, for approximately two years. The curriculum was not altered.
The institute was accepted this past fall as a candidate for accreditation by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. This new status enables students to apply for federal financial aid to assist with tuition.
Tai Sophia offers three graudate programs: Traditional Acupuncture, Botanical Healing, and Applied Healing Arts. The Botanical Healing program was launched in January 2002.
