The American Botanical Council recently completed an arrangement with Dr. Andrew Weil’s Program in Integrative Medicine at the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona to license Herbal Medicine: Expanded Commission E Monographs for use on the program’s internal Intranet site. This arrangement is part of ABC’s Herb-Ed-WebTM program that licenses quality content for e-commerce, manufacturer, and educational institution websites. “ABC has always enjoyed a close relationship with Dr. Weil, and we are grateful that he and his colleagues have chosen some of ABC’s herbal monographs as an essential resource for the education of physicians,” said Mark Blumenthal, ABC’s founder and executive director, and senior editor of the monographs.
In addition to the University of Arizona, ABC and its co-publisher, Integrative Medicine Communications, have previously licensed The Complete German Commission E Monographs—Therapeutic Guide to Herbal Medicines and Herbal Medicine: Expanded Commission E Monographs to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston for its Intranet site. “ABC is continually updating the content we provide to educational and commercial sites. We are excited to provide high quality, low cost educational content to university and commercial Intranet sites,” said Wayne Silverman, Ph.D., ABC’s chief admin. officer.
