Since ABC began marketing the book in the Spring 1996 issue of HerbalGram (No. 36), it has consistently ranked number one in sales compared to over 400 titles in the ABC catalog. Total prepublication sales of the book were 3,530 copies. With the help of its partner in the Commission E project, Integrative Medicine Communications, the first printing of 12,500 copies was totally sold out by February. A second printing of 7,500 copies will be completed by Spring.
