March has been a great month for ABC! Over 250 people attended the 3rd Annual American Botanical Celebration and Awards Dinner at the Natural Products Expo West Trade Show in Anaheim, California, where ABC gave out its annual James A. Duke Excellence in Botanical Literature Award, the Norman R. Farnsworth Excellence in Botanical Research Award, and ABC’s new Varro E. Tyler Investment in Commercial Botanical Research Award. In addition, ABC recognized 100-year-old Chinese botanist Dr. S.Y. Hu with our first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award. The details are noted below in an article about the award.
Also, the March edition of Natural Foods Merchandiser (NFM), one of the natural products industry’s most influential trade publications, ran a 6-page profile on ABC's Founder and Executive Director Mark Blumenthal, bestowing on him their “Natural Legacy” award.
